Unique Reverse Step Up Converter for your foreign guests who bring their high (220v) voltage low (0 - 50w) wattage motorized or electronic appliances to the USA and would like to plug them into our 120 volt outlet. In the USA we run on a voltage system of 110-130 volts - which is lower than the 220-240 volt system used in Europe and many other countries.

The 50 watt step-up transformer raises the output voltage to 220 volts and can be used with foreign battery chargers curling irons portable tape/CD players camcorders contact lens disinfectors electric shavers and radios and other low wattage appliances. The self-contained heat sensor will turn the converter off as necessary to prevent electric overload.

Note: A Converter is NOT designed for continuous use so remember to remove the converter from the electrical outlet when not in use. If you need to run your appliance continuously (for more than 30 minutes at a time) you should use the 40 watt reverse converter- which is designed for semi-permanent installations.

Remember: Adapter Plugs do NOT change the voltage; they only change the configuration of the pins. You need a Converter or a Transformer to change the voltage input into your appliance.
