Combination Step Up / Step Down Voltage Transformers enable the use of North American appliances that run on 110-120 Volts to be used in foreign countries with 220-260 Volts. Also can be used in reverse by Europeans traveling in North America for their 220-260 Volt appliances.

Transformers are required (instead of converters) when continuous power is needed for electronic equipment or large appliances such as computers kitchen appliances medical equipment power tools stereo systems or any permanently installed electrical equipment. Remember: You need either a transformer or a converter to change the voltage input into your appliance. Adapter Plugs alone do NOT change the voltage; they only change the configuration of the pins.

NOTE: These combination transformers work on voltages from 110-260 volts. Transformers do NOT convert cycles (60Hz in USA vs. 50Hz foreign) and some appliances (especially those with internal clocks) may not operate normally when used in 50Hz countries. Please consult the appliance manufacturer with any questions in this regard.
